How can you relieve neck tension with massage?
I use various methods to treat neck tension through massage:
- The Hawaiian massage art of Lomi Ke Ala Hoku not only helps to loosen tense muscles, but also to release inner tension and fears that often maintain the tension.
This massage art consists of flowing, long massage strokes, joint relaxation, and vigorous bodywork. It has a holistic effect on the person, thus supporting the health of the neck and beyond.
- Gentle or stronger pressure on the muscles and painful trigger points in the tissue can stimulate blood circulation and release superficial tension.
- I also use gentle stretches and heat to gently relieve tension and neck pain.
Does massage help with lower back pain?
Massages can help loosen tense muscles and promote blood circulation, which helps relieve pain.
There are different types of massages that I use for lower back pain:
Trigger point massage that targets specific pain points in the muscles to relieve tension and improve mobility.
My Lomi Lomi massage with warm oil combines special massage and stretching techniques to loosen the muscles.
I adjust the intensity of the massage to the needs of the person in order to avoid renewed tension.
I combine the massage with heat because heat promotes relaxation and can loosen muscles and promote blood circulation.
When should you not have a massage for back pain?
However, there are some limitations that prevent massage. Massage should not be performed if you have open wounds, skin or vein diseases, or an acute herniated disc.
In cases of severe pain or if additional symptoms such as numbness, tingling or muscle weakness occur, medical advice is advisable.
In summary , massage can be an effective method of pain relief for lower back pain if used carefully and in a targeted manner.
Foot and hand massage, reflexology massage
Reflexology is a form of treatment which, in its therapeutic form, is considered to be an alternative medical treatment method and is also used in the wellness industry.
Proponents of the method believe that reflexology massages can complement common medical procedures and physiotherapy applications in pain therapy and circulatory disorders and can support an improvement in well-being.
Facial rejuvenation, "natural lifting"
This skin rejuvenation procedure originates from Ayurveda, the traditional Indian healing art whose origins date back about 5,000 years.
Massage plays an important role in Ayurveda for maintaining health and beauty. According to Ayurvedic principles, only the face is massaged for skin rejuvenation.
The procedure, which some call a "natural facelift," is intended to make you look and feel younger in a non-invasive way.
Massage and pressure point techniques are said to have a beneficial effect on facial skin and muscles and reduce emotional stress.
Facial rejuvenation is not only a popular method to improve appearance, it can also relieve problems such as sinusitis and headaches, promote relaxation in cases of sleep disorders and reduce stress symptoms.
